WJT 2022 Summer Season Update
News

Dear WJT Community,

Happy 2022 - may it be filled with good health, happiness and the joy of live theatre!

It’s hard to believe that it has been almost two years since we performed live inside the Berney Theatre, our home at the Asper Jewish Community Campus. We were looking forward to welcoming you back into the theatre next month with the Canadian premiere of Queens Girl in the World by Caleen Sinnette Jennings. But, unfortunately, the Omicron variant has other plans, and we have decided to postpone the production until this summer.

We are pleased to announce that WJT will produce a beautiful summer season. The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk and Queens Girl In the World will both play outdoors in a tent at the campus this summer. Performance dates and times will be announced soon. We are excited to welcome you back to the tent this summer after last summer’s success with Dear Jack, Dear Louise. And don’t worry, we are working on a more comfortable seating solution for this summer!

If you have already purchased tickets to Queens Girl in the World, we will be in touch with you very soon about adjusting your order to the summer season.

We remain so grateful for all your support and encouragement through these ever-changing times. The health safety of our audiences and artists remain our number one priority.

We can’t wait to share these beautiful, life-affirming plays with you in June & July!

Sincerely,

Ari Weinberg
