Pesach is the time of year when we commemorate the Exodus of our ancestors from Egypt, the Jewish people’s escape from slavery. It is also a celebration of the journey to freedom, to a new land. Though I can hardly say that my journey to Winnipeg was anything similar to circling the desert for 40 years, the past few months for me have been nothing short of discovering new spaces, new people, and new art. This holiday, I’d like to wish you (and challenge you) to find and embrace something new – be it a place, a new memory with your loved ones, or a new Seder tradition.
May you and your loved ones have a peaceful, prosperous and joyful Pesach! We look forward to seeing you at the theatre soon!
